DRAMATIC SHORTS

Okay, these are a little on the serious side, or perhaps pretentious, otherwise, neat little films you might enjoy.

HEAVEN AND HELL (2006)
A music video for Black Sabbath. This is my first movie shot outside of the country during a trip to England and Scotland.

ONE MAN'S EPIC (2006)
The same film as above, but with an original score by Ryan Paul.

MECHANICAL LOSSES (2004)
A real story about a car accident I was in. A little humorous at first as it exaggerates the situation, however this was a real serious event that happened to me which I was trying to make light of.

TICKING AWAY (2002)
Even though I attended an art college, I still had to take a science class, and the final project was pretty much up in the air, so I made an artsy science project. It's basically a music video to Pink Floyd's "Time."

THE NIGHT PROWLER (2002)
This was a class project. The assignment was to do a "long take", to film something happening in one fluent shot, but instead I cheated and used very swift pans of the camera to disguise the cuts. The instructor liked the way I broke the rule. The subject is loosley based on Edgar Allan Poe's "Imp of the Perverse", the tale of a murderer confident in hiding from detection.

ART SCHOOL PROJECT (2000)
Watch the horror and frustration an art student must go through. This one's sort of a cross between comedy and drama, because it's so exagerrated. Don't expect cinematic excellence here either, though there's some pretty intense lighting during the second half.
