Just saw the new Transformers movie last night. I’m doing something a little different this time. For one thing, this review is much longer than usual (about 19 minutes). I also have a friend helping out, Matt Von Manahan who worked on some AVGN videos and on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. So it’s a duo-review. But the biggest difference is that this review is just audio, like podcast format. It would have taken a lot of extra time to put images to it and I thought it would be better just to keep it as audio, so you have the option to download it and listen wherever you please.
Anyone have suggestions on how to host audio on websites? Or is this fine?

Last night I hosted a party in my back yard for family & friends. Everyone always wants to play Rock Band & Guitar Hero. Personally, I think these kind of games are becoming incredibly overrated, but for social gatherings, it’s always a fun time. So I decided to take it to the extreme and turn my back porch into a stage.
I attached colored lights to the awning and set up a fog machine and strobe lights. The Xbox 360 was connected to a distribution amp which outputted the game onto 3 monitors which included a small TV, a Commodore 64 monitor and my old 80’s TV seen in many of the AVGN videos. Surprisingly, it worked well. The game was also outputted to a video projector inside the house and onto a blanket, seen through the window, with the image reversed horizontally so that it would appear normal from the outside. The idea came from the movie “Be Kind Rewind”.
It was a big project to put all this together and completely unnecessary, but it was a great time and well worth the effort. I just wanted to put on a show and figured I might as well share it.

The greatest pop icon of the 80’s will be missed. I’ve always planned on making some kind of video tribute about Michael Jackson before, but now, I think the time is right. When talking about him for more than 2 minutes, it’s impossible not to crack jokes, but I think we should remember him for all the entertainment he’s brought through his music and videos.

Transformers is the next AVGN video. Usually they get posted every other Tuesday night. I delivered it on time, so I was expecting it tonight, but sometimes they end up being posted a little later. Nothing to be concerned about. All we can do for now is keep checking this page.
Also, we’ve been playing around with the navigation bar up top, making it similar to the classic Cinemassacre.com if anyone remembers that. At this very second, not all the links are working yet, but hang in there and it’ll be fully functional.

Just a funny pic of me at E3. Last time I had a picture taken with a Ninja Turtle was at my 10th birthday party.
