Yes, I’ve actually taken the joke a step further. If you’ve seen my Maximum Overdrive review, you know that it’s the only movie with its entire soundtrack performed by AC/DC. But why stop there? Every movie should have AC/DC! Here’s two scenes from First Blood!

HIGHWAY TO HELL (this one’s awesome!)
This was an experiment I’ve always wanted to do and an editing challenge. I didn’t want it to sound as if I simply dubbed AC/DC over the movie, I wanted it to sound like it actually belonged to the movie, so I preserved as many of the original sound effects as possible. The original music would conflict with the new AC/DC soundtrack, so it got a little complicated. I also had to make minimal edits to the movie so that the music cues would be right. If you like it, I’ll do the entire movie! I may be crazy, but sometimes I need this kind of thing to freshen my spirits.

FUN FACT: There were 3 AVGN-related fights filmed 3 days in a row.
June 27, 208 - The final battle of AVGN Vs. Nostalgia Critic was filmed.
June 28, 2008 - The in-person meeting of AVGN Vs. Nostalgia Critic was filmed at DigitPress game store.
June 29, 2008 - The Bat-Nerd Vs. Joker fight was filmed.

It went up a little bit later than expected, but here it is, an introduction to one of the worst game consoles of all time, and a look at one of it’s most notorious games, Hotel Mario. But the next part is when things are really going to start up!

Haven’t posted anything in a few days, I’ve been hard at work on the new AVGN videos. There’s one coming out tonight (whenever) which will be the first in an interesting string of reviews. It’s something that been requested A LOT!

I recorded this commentary in May 2004, shortly after completing Legend of the Blue Hole. I was using my camera mic at the time, and I remember this was the same weekend I recorded/edited the first AVGN review, Simon’s Quest.
